FORM / FIGURA
Form / Figura was a ceramic installation exploring the transformation of ancient cross-cultural motifs into contemporary sigils. Drawing from historical symbols across various traditions, the process involved redrawing these motifs from memory, allowing them to evolve into new, intuitive forms.
Through this act of reinterpretation, the work examined the ways symbols transcend time—how they shift, adapt, and take on new meaning. The ceramic installation served as both a study of visual language and an exploration of memory’s role in shaping personal and collective iconography.
Exhibited at the Appalachian Center for Craft – May 2019
